Appraoch
Think Ahead Learning supports pupils who are struggling to access mainstream school by providing calm, structured 1:1 and small-group learning.
The focus is not just academic support, but helping pupils rebuild confidence, develop positive routines, and begin to re-engage with education.
Working with schools
Support is flexible and designed to fit alongside existing SEND and pastoral provision. This may include:
Supporting pupils on reduced timetables
Providing interim support following absence or placement breakdown
Preparing pupils for reintegration
Complementing existing SEND or pastoral support
Consistent, relationship-led support that helps pupils feel safe, understood, and ready to re-engage with learning.
-
Strong, consistent relationships are central. Pupils are more able to engage when they feel safe, understood, and not under pressure.
-
Sessions follow a clear, calm structure. This helps reduce anxiety and supports pupils in developing positive learning routines.
-
Support is tailored to each pupil’s needs, including pacing, content, and approach. Learning can be adapted to reflect pupil interests where helpful.
